Fort Hood officials released on Saturday the names of eight of the nine
soldiers who died June 2 after the Light Medium Tactical Vehicle they
were riding in overturned in a creek.
According to a statement from the Fort Hood Public Affairs Office, "The
circumstances of the accident are unknown at this time, pending an
investigation by a team from the Army Combat Readiness Center, Fort
Rucker, Alabama."
One of the soldier's next of kin is still pending formal notification,
and that individual's identity will be released when the notification is
complete, officials said.
